My Fall Front Porch Revealed!
Last week I shared with y’all my Fall Front Porch picks! I have finally rolled out my own fall front porch decor and I am ready to share it with you! This year I have been a little ahead of the game when it comes to fall decor. Therefore certain items I am wanting/needing to complete my porch are not available yet! As I find these items I will show snippets of my additions on social media!
2 Porches, 1 Color Scheme:
In my last blog post, I told y’all I was sticking with the traditional orange for my outdoor fall decor. I added in pops of black and white for neutral accents that help the orange decor really stand out! Usually, I am not a color loving person but there is something about traditional seasonal colors that make me feel a little nostalgic. What I have not really talked about before is our house actually has 2 porches. Our house is a long ranch with 2 long porches on each side. I LOVE a front porch so having 2 is really great. Sometimes though, it is difficult to make both sides look cohesive and match. To fix that issue I chose to use a few pieces of the same decor on each. The same pillows, wooden pumpkins, and colors really helped tie the 2 sides together.
D.I.Y Porch Projects:
When it comes to decor and homes I have always loved the idea of taking something old and making it new again. I might not always love the process, but the end result is always something magical! On my front porch, I have a few pieces that I have brought back to life. The piece that I really love the most is my vintage bike. When I began this Olive Branch journey, I fell in love with the idea of upcycling an old bike. I found 2 online and started working to make them something beautiful again.
The other two items I re-purposed are actually a pair. My two black (non matching) rocking chairs are from the Facebook marketplace and used to be bright teal and yellow. I love the sturdy wood and the imperfections they have that give my porch a little more character.
Both of these projects were completed using one thing, a can (or 3) of spray paint. So simple and took very little time to see results, which is so satisfying!
The small accents that I used worked together to add pops of orange while keeping it more neutral with the black and white. I found my pillows on Amazon and Kirkland, while my wooden pumpkins came from the Target Dollar section and a local craft fair. My black metal lantern can be found in my online boutique, just click the shop tab in the menu or top of the page!
Like I said earlier, being ahead of the game for fall decor means certain things like heirloom pumpkins and dried corn stalks are scarce! Once those final details are available I will add them in and show y’all on Instagram. For now, we can use our imagination to picture cornstalks behind the welcome sign and on the shutters behind the bike. Be on the lookout for those additions to this fall front porch reveal and my soon to come fall tablescape!
