Everyone has inside them a piece of good news. The good news is you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is.” – Anne Frank
2nd blog post & I’m still just as nervous BUT the word “Encouragement” keeps running through my mind.
Since writing my 1st post a week & a day (so much for blogging every Sunday…) ago, I have received so much encouragement. From friends, family, people I barely know & it has equipped me with the mindset to keep chasing this dream.
So this brings about a 2nd word…Thankful. I am so thankful for the people in my life who have come forth & said “you can do it”. I am, and have always been, a person who’s love language is words of affirmation. My mind & heart run off the words of others. This can sometimes be a huge blessing…but it can also be detrimental to my confidence. I have been reminded the past 2 weeks just how many people care & genuinely want to see me succeed. This is so refreshing when sometimes all we see about the world can be so negative. I have been reassured of the goodness in this world & inspired to pass it along, just as freely as it has been given to me at the start of this journey.
Speaking of journey…it’s going a little differently than I had expected but it is for sure moving right along. I became incredibly discouraged when I learned the timeline for opening the actual “brick & mortar” store front wasn’t going to be exactly how my type A mind had planned. However, I quickly realized there are several avenues I can take to start selling product & inspiring my customers to create a beautiful home. I am expecting my VERY FIRST TRUCK to ship this Wednesday! I am so excited & can not wait to get my hands on the beautiful & unique items I have carefully selected for y’all. I will be working closely with a photographer & friend, Taylor’s Photography, to display these items for you as soon as I possibly can. The prospect of this getting started has me incredibly anxious…but in a really good way. The BEST part is you can buy ALL the items right here from this site. (look for the “shop” tab in the menu above)
So to wrap this all up I have to say thank you again for your support & excitement as I bring The Olive Branch to life. In addition to that I want to challenge every person who reads this to do something that helps someone else feel encouraged. There truly is so much good in the world, we just have to choose to focus on it & spread it around. I hope with all my heart that The Olive Branch will be so much more than just a home decor boutique. My main goal is to treat others well & help people feel proud of the places they put our decor pieces. If you accept my challenge & it grows into a beautiful or share worthy story, please leave it in the comments below.
Here’s to encouragement, thankfulness & hoping I stick to my plan to blog every Sunday. Have a great week friends.
